In June of 2015 I spent a week on the island of Eleuthera, hosted by a family that has been vacationing there on an annual basis for many years. As a result, they have become pretty friendly with many of the islands permanent inhabitants, many of whom I got to meet, as well….

Art from Toys
I visited the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia this weekend, where an exhibit of “Lego Art” is on display. Created by Nathan Sawaya, an attorney who preferred playing with toys to playing with contracts, he left the legal profession to chase his creative muse. And his muse seems to be speaking loud and clear! The art…
Spring in the Arboretum
Spring has arrived! After one of the harsher winters in memory, the arrival of spring this year is especially sweet. 20 Days / 20 Photos – Day 16
Today’s theme is “treasure.” This was an easy one for me to figure out. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew:5:21) My heart resides with these little guys, my three grandsons. And although I am no longer in control of where or when I can see two of the three of…
20 Days / 20 Photos – Weekend 3
In anticipation of spring and summer, and harking back to our earlier assignment regarding scale, I thought this critter would be a good subject. Don’t invite him to your picnic, though!
